Video evidence shows violence, rigging in Osun

The Election Petitions Tribunal hearing the Osun-West senatorial petition has admitted video evidence, showing scenes of ballot snatching and violence, allegedly perpetrated by the supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Osun-West senatorial candidate of the Action Congress, Chief Mudashiru Hussain, had dragged the candidate of the PDP and alleged winner of the election, Chief Isiaka Adeleke, before the tribunal, alleging that the poll was fraught with irregularities.

Adeleke, who was the first executive governor of Osun State, through his counsel, Mr. Wahab Egbewole, had objected the admittance and showing of video evidence provided by Hussain and the AC.

But the Chairman of the tribunal, Justice Hamman Barka, upheld the submission of the AC candidate’s lawyer, as he admitted the video clip as evidence.
